If you are one who loves to pamper her skin, you would agree with me that the sight of pimples wrecking havoc to your face can be very heart breaking. This battle isn’t off the Lord’s to fight, the battle is off you. Most times, we are the reasons why this pimples linger on and blatantly refuse to go, either because of sheer negligence or we just haven’t come across an article as this. Fighting pimples takes a lot of patience, but of course a lot of foodie. Lemme Explain!
- Make Use of Your Orange Peels
If you have stubborn pimples that just won’t part ways with you face, Orange peels is just the answer you seek. Just as tasty as our taste buds finds oranges, that’s how appealing they are to our skin. Thanks to the vitamin C, citric acid, and it’s astringent properties that are contained in oranges, dead or dry cells are rejuvenated and brought back to life. The vitamin C is particularly helpful because it promotes the growth of new healthy cells, keeping your skin in better condition overall.
For an orange peel mask, you will need two orange peels and water. Start by rinsing your face with water and dry. Grind/pound up your orange peels and add a little water to create a paste. Be careful not to make it too watery. Apply it to your face and/or problem areas. Wait for 20-25 minutes. Ideally the mask should be firm, but it can still work if it isn’t. Rinse off completely with water, dry your face, and apply a good moisturize.
2. Banana Peels Also Works
Bananas are full of all sorts of goodness-even the part we don’t eat. Rubbing a banana peel on your face can work wonders on pimples. It reduce the redness, obviousness, and discomfort that pimples cause to the face.Their peels contain lutein, an extremely powerful antioxidant that reduces swelling and inflammation, and encourages healthy cell growth. So a banana scrub is just perfect for your face.
Get your banana as usual, peel your banana and eat it. Take the peel, and rub in a circular motion all over your face. When you feel as though you’ve covered all of your face, let it sit for at least 30 minutes before rinsing it off.
3. Sugar Scrub
Sugar also works wonders for pimples. Whether it’s white or brown sugar, they are just perfect so resurrecting dead skin cells that cause pimples. Mix it up with honey, olive oil, or just plain water, and you have a sweet scrub to help rid you of your pimples. There are plenty of different recipes out there, but we found this one to be particularly wonderful.
You will need, a spoon or two or white or brown sugar, mixed with olive oil and milk. Wash your face dry, pat with a towel just a little, retaining a little water on it, apply the mixture. Leave to work it wonders for like 10 to 15 minutes and then wash off with warm water.
4. Stop Touching Your Breakouts
Some people can just go without having to touch, peel, squeeze or press the breakouts from the pimples on their faces. It’s understandable that pimples can cause a lot of discomfort, but the only way a wound can heal is if you stop touching it, especially when treating it with irritating topical stuff. So you have to learn to resist the urge to keep touching your face so it can heal, all you need is patience.
5. Put a potato on it.
As amazing a vegetable as potato is, most people haven’t realized it’s full usefulness and has therefore not been able to tap into it’s potentials. The benefits of potatoes are enormous, and taming pimples is one of them, as potatoes are full of potassium, sulfur, phosphorus, and chloride-all components that can help reduce bothersome blemishes. They also have antioxidants to nourish your skin and encourage the healthy growth of new skin cells.You will need one potato or two depending on the quantity you want.
You can make it into a paste or just apply it directly on your face. Wash your face with water and pat almost dry, leaving it a bit damp. Grate 1 raw potato and rub the pulp and juice onto your face for a few minutes in a circular motion. Let it dry for 15-30 minutes, and then rinse off completely with warm water.
